Recreational Yearly
Ages 3 and up in multiple dance styles
Our yearly recreational session runs from September to June. Classes are on a weekly basis. Our Recreational Yearly program performs in our year end recital at the Milton Centre for the Arts!
Recreational 8 Week Sessions
Ages 3 and up in multiple dance styles
Our Recreational 8 Week Session is a great way to introduce children to the world of dance. These sessions run 3 times per year (Fall, Winter and Summer) and finish with an in-studio Parent Viewing Week.
Our 2025-2025 8 Week Schedule will be released mid-summer!
Pre-Competitive
Ages 6 and up
Our Pre-Competitive dancers train approximately 2-4 hours per week. This program is to help dancers and their families transition to competitive dance. They take one mandatory choreography and technique class and then may choose one (or more) additional recreational or pre-competitive classes to supplement their training. Pre-Competitive dancers are entered to one local competition per season as well as perform in our year end recital. Admission to our Pre-Competitive program is through audition or invitation. Competitive
Ages 6 and up
Competitive dancers train 3-7 hours per week. They take mandatory classes in ballet and jazz technique and can then add on additional training classes in Acro, Hip Hop and Lyrical. Competitive dancers are also eligible for solo/duet/trio choreography. Our Competitive Team participate in 3-4 competitions per season, as well as in our year end recital.
At DEM, we recognize that students have interests that expand beyond dance. We offer a competitive program that allows students to explore their multiple passions, while focusing their dance training to be of the highest caliber within their set weekly dance schedule. Our focus is in strong technique and a sense of family and team-work that encourages students to express themselves, build friendships and share their passion with their family and community.
